Wintering
A Women of Wonder Support Group
When it's dark and cold, it all feels that much harder. But you don't have to do it all alone. Come join us in this unique women's Support Group for the power that comes from walking through life together.
Women are overwhelmed, burned out, and possibly feeling alone. We’re blazing new trails without the support we need in a time of unprecedented burden…
and it's winter.
Does this sound like you?
Off balance because I'm not sure I even know myself lately, and I'm overwhelmed and burned out by … (gestures broadly)
Feeling alone because as life has shifted (kids have aged, relationships changed, job is new or different) if feels like the community of support I once had dropped away and it's dark and cold to boot.
The “stuff” of life is feeling bigger, harder, more unique and personal, which makes it feels safer to stay quiet and figure it out on my own, or curl up on the couch and ignore it all.
I miss my old self, my old friends, my life before all the uncertainty of today. Or, I'm simply counting down the days until longer days and warmer temps.
I'm unsure there is a roadmap of how to get back to what worked, or if I even go back or maybe I should continue in a different way all together.
What we'll discuss
YOU: Tuning In to your own self, maybe for the first time. Knowing your own triggers, dreams and expectations to take better care of yourself.
Your Relationships: Understanding the potential loneliness and disconnect that can come in winter.
Curiosity vs Judgement: Tools to fight the urge to curl up under our covers and not come out until the sun stays around longer. Understanding our reasons why-without the mean ol' self talk!
Intentionality: Mindfulness: for self-care, resistance and resilience. Grit and Grace, with a dash of humour to keep us going!
Monday on Zoom February 2-24, 2025
Live Gathering:

Have we met?
Dr. Cristie Ritz-King, PsyD
I’ve spent the better part of my life searching for ways to help people feel good in and about their lives. I'm also passionate about making the world better for women and kids.
When I became a Doctor of Psychology I chose to focus on trauma, mind-body wellness, and maternal mental health.
Before becoming a mental health counselor, I was a doula, a health coach and a teacher in public and private schools for 12 years. I even have a Master's Degree in Education, so I know a thing or two about human development and how people learn.
Most important though, is that I am a working mom of three young adults. (Yes, I once lived through a year of 3 kids under 4!) My mission is to help women find their voice, in a world desperately trying to silence us, and build a community within which to share those voices.
I love my life, but it wasn’t always that way. To get my own clarity, I had to learn many of the same skills I now teach, so I could find calm in the chaos and use that resilience I was forced to build to my advantage.
Now, the beautiful relationships I have with my kids, spouse, and dear friends, that I have built alongside a thriving career, are the true joys of my life.
I want to help you get there too. I know the challenge of change but I also know the power of community. I can't wait to share that with you.
