Holding on to Let Go
A Support Group to learn the art and science of parenting Teens & young adults
Moms are overwhelmed, burned out, and feeling alone because we’re blazing new trails without the support we need.
Does this sound like you?
Off balance because I'm not sure I know my own kid, or even myself lately, and I'm overwhelmed and burned out by all the changes.
Feeling alone because as the kids have aged if feels like the community of support has dropped away.
The “stuff” of life is feeling bigger, harder, more unique and personal, so it feels safer to stay quiet and figure it out on my own
Coming out of the last few years of chaos in the world, it feels like I am behind on all fronts: career, relationships, parenting
Unsure there is a roadmap of how to get back to what worked, or maybe I should continue in a different way if that’s what is needed?
What we'll discuss
YOU: Tuning In to your own self, maybe for the first time. Knowing your own triggers, dreams and expectations for you & your kids, to take better care of you both
Your Relationship: What is happening in the adolescent brain. What can you do about it? How do you maintain or even strengthen your relationships throughout these years?
Curiosity vs Judgement: Tools to fight the urge to give them ALL the advice and enjoy the ride even when the peaks and valleys make you feel a bit queasy.
Intentionality: Mindfulness: for conversations, as a tool for growing pains and to encourage self care that allows for consistency with kids and persistence in this new time.

Have we met?
Dr. Cristie Ritz-King, PsyD
I’ve spent the better part of my life searching for ways to help people feel good in and about their lives. I'm also passionate about making the world better for moms and their kids.
When I became a Doctor of Psychology I chose to focus on trauma and maternal mental health.
Before becoming a mental health counselor, I was a doula, a health coach and a teacher in public and private schools for 12 years. I even have a Master's Degree in Education, so I know a thing or two about human development and how people learn.
Most important though, is that I am a working mom of three young adults/teens. (Yes, I once lived through a year of 3 kids under 4!) My mission is to help women find their voice and a community within which to share it.
I love my life, but it wasn’t always that way. To get my own clarity, I had to learn many of the same skills I now teach, so I could find calm in the chaos of life.
Now, the beautiful relationships I have with my kids and my spouse, that I built alongside a thriving career, are the true joy of my life. I want to help you get there too. I know the challenge of change but I also know the power of community. I can't wait to share that with you.
